  1. i like your concept, especially your spiral cylinder tube. it creates a play sense for the users. however, it would be good if you could show where does the batteries go when the bin is full. nice work

  2. Andrea, I really like your concept! I think it is a great idea. I would recycle my batteries in this bin at my local shopping center. I didn't realise how harmfull they are to the environment.
I think it would be good if the bin could be easily opened ready for the garbage men to take away. Other wise great job ;)

  3. I guess that having this service in shopping centers would provide a convenient location to encourgage battry disposal. I like how you have adapted a bit of fun with the disposal. If I had to comment on an improvement it would be maybe addign more incentive on my disposal of the batteries, why would I carry my batteries to the shopping center to dispose? Whats in it for me to remember to take them?

  4. I think it addressed a valid issue where people didnt dispose household batteries correctly, the locations provided are also quite convinenet and it is encouraging a good behaviour. But maybe needs something to remind people to remember to bring a collection of dead batteries to the disposal instead of throwing them in the bin at home. Otherwise thats great work.

    good job

  5. I really like your pss design. i was always confused where to get my used batteries dumped, and i could only thorw them away with the general waste. the beautiful and eye catching battery bin gives people a clear indication where to throw the batteries. people would have fun watchehing the battery goes all the way down to the bottom.

  6. Hey I like the way you've integrated some fun into the process. Instead of just dropping the battery into the box you've included the spiral which is playful and aesthetically appealing. I do think the maintenance issue that mar brought up in class might be relevant though. It does seem a little difficult to empty if you have to lift it up. That's all =)

  7. I think that fun is a really good way of getting people to engage in an activity, and your PSS does a great job of using that. A lot of the time I think people are happy to do something for no real benefit to them other than having some fun, like those donation things where to coin spins around. I think that you have done a good job of communicating your design through your posters.

  8. I didnt realise so many batteries go to landfill, this is great that your tackling this area. I love how you made it fun for the user to recycle their battery in ur system, it reminds me of those coin donation spin things at shopping malls

  9. Interesting concept, also the spiral shapes adds fun to your concept and thats what makes it interesting. its visually appealing, so people would be curious and actually invited to use it. I think for your poster, it will be good for the product placement to be somewhere else more appropriate for this product, such as offices, school, where people are using batteries rather than shopping malls.
